Jon Bartlett is a Co-Founder and Partner with AtlasAdvancement, Inc., Jon specializes in identifying talent in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Contracts & Subcontracts, Capture, and Proposals. Since 2002, he has been instrumental in recruiting top talent and placing numerous professionals year after year.
His extensive Software Sales background allows him to understand and digest technology in order to serve his candidates and clients with pertinent insight. Jon has a thirst for networking and building deep, long standing relationships which has led to repeat business for almost a decade. His diligence in keeping in contact with his network makes him a true life coach and trusted consultant.
AtlasAdvancement continues to have record years during a challenging economic development. It has been due to strong development of new hires who want to be the best in the market space.
Jon believes his people are his greatest asset and never takes them for granted. Jon graduated Cum Laude with a BBA in Marketing Information Systems.
Co-Founder and Partner
Steve Laskin is a Co-Founder and Partner with AtlasAdvancement, Inc. Steve specializes in identifying talent in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Pricing, Audit, Treasury, DCAA Compliance, as well as Executive Level Business Development and leadership positions within government contracting. Since getting into search in 1999, he has successfully placed hundreds of professionals in industries that vary from Government Contracting, Financial Services, Professional Services, Energy, Public Accounting, and Healthcare and Internet Start-Ups.
Steve’s hands-on approach and thorough understanding of the DC market have allowed him to stand out among his peers by continually locating hard-to-find talent and those who stand out as the top 5% of the marketplace. As AtlasAdvancement, Inc. has grown, Steve has been very involved with training and developing new hires for the firm and ensuring they deliver the high-quality search to our clients that they have grown to expect since 2002.
Steve received his BBA in Marketing from James Madison University and currently lives with his wife and two children in Great Falls, VA. In 2021 Steve was asked to join the Advisory Board for St Jude’s Mid-Atlantic Region and has been actively involved since then. He is also on the Board at River Bend Country Club where he has been a member since 2006.
Asim Khan is a Partner at AtlasAdvancement, Inc. He has been with the firm since 2008 and has more than ten years of leadership and management experience. In those years, he has managed, trained, and mentored sales teams and built long-term relationships with both candidates and clients. Asim manages the operations of the firm, provides cutting-edge strategies for new client business development and holds his staff accountable for locating and delivering the best caliber of candidates.
Beyond leading the internal operations at Atlas, Asim’s expertise is in sales and business development has given him the distinct ability to build a strong presence in several industries including the area’s leading government contracting companies. Asim’s approach is growth-oriented: he takes the time to develop an intimate understanding of his clients’ strategic growth plans, typically meeting with his clients’ Chief Growth Officers and EVPs of Business Development to align his search efforts with their vision. Asim has helped several companies successfully build out their sales and business development departments using this approach. In addition, he has filled numerous positions with passive job seekers in roles including capture, proposals, pricing, and pre-sales engineer and architects, all ranging in seniority from managerial-level to Vice President.
Asim has BS in Management from George Mason University.
Mija is a Partner at AtlasAdvancement, Inc., and manages and mentors the firm’s Finance and Accounting recruiters.
While attending George Mason University, Mija worked full time for Staples Corporation and became the youngest General Manager in this well-known publicly traded firm.
After she graduated, she joined AtlasAdvancement. Since joining AtlasAdvancement, Mija has continued on the fast track, having been promoted two times and achieved incredible success filling positions from Staff to CFO level for private and public clients in the DC Metro Area.
Mija received her BS in Business from George Mason University.
Stephen Moschella is a Director with AtlasAdvancement, Inc. on the Finance and Accounting team. After graduating from college and networking with some of the top recruiters in the industry and learning more about the staffing profession, Stephen decided recruiting was the career he wanted to pursue. Growing up with a father who is a Big 4 CPA, Stephen felt compelled to specialize in the Finance and Accounting.
If you ask Stephen his favorite part about the job and the recruiting process, he will tell you he enjoys nothing more than meeting with candidates he has placed and hearing how the new job has bettered their quality of life. Stephen graduated Magna Cum Laude from High Point University with a degree in Business and minored in both Marketing and Communications.
Adam is a Recruiting Manager with AtlasAdvancement, Inc. where he focuses on recruiting for Accounting and Finance positions. Adam was a student-athlete at James Madison University from 2014-2018. After completing his degree, Adam pursued baseball at the professional level. He played Independent-Minor League Baseball for the Lake Erie Crushers in Avon, Ohio.
Surrounding himself with individuals who work hard and push him to be his best self is why Adam loves working for Atlas. He strives to continue to help grow the Atlas brand with a dedication and willingness to be successful.
Adam received his BS from James Madison University in Justice Studies with a concentration in Crime and Criminality.
Nicko is a Senior Associate for AtlasAdvancement, Inc. He brings a variety of experience to Atlas ranging from his role as a General Manager of a local fan favorite Big Buns restaurant to working in sales. Nicko knows how to lead and more importantly communicate with those around him.
Nicko graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations and Supply Chain.
Marketing and Sales Lead
Katie is the Marketing and Sales Lead at AtlasAdvancement, Inc. She graduated in 2020 from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.
Katie has a background in website design, event planning and creative writing. Since starting with Atlas, she has helped revitalize all of our social media platforms and redirect company branding efforts. Katie has played a crucial role in building Atlas’ digital footprint, especially over the course of the pandemic.
Katie is also part of our government contracting team and helps to identify top talent in the DMV area. She has filled multiple positions with passive job seekers in roles including capture, proposals, business development and sales all ranging in seniority level.
We are excited to see what the future holds as Katie continues to pursue her marketing and sales efforts here at Atlas.
Strategy and Sales Recruiting Manager
Ryan Owens is the Strategy and Sales Recruiting Manager at AtlasAdvancement. He primarily focuses on Business Development, Capture, Proposal, Solution Architecture, and Contract Management positions within the Federal Space.
Ryan is a James Madison University graduate with a BBA in Finance and Accounting. Before transitioning into recruiting, Ryan gained experience working for one of the Big Four public accounting firms focusing on wealth management and financial planning as well as in the Commercial Real Estate Industry working for a billion dollar publicly traded REIT.
Now with over 13 years of recruiting experience, combined with his ability to network, and develop new relationships, Ryan has played a key role in the growth of the Government Contracting Division at AtlasAdvancement.
Matt is a Senior Recruiter at AtlasAdvancement. He graduated from Catholic University of America in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a minor in History. During his time at CUA, Matt played Center on the football team.
Matt has a strong background in sales. Before starting with Atlas, he worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as an Assistant Branch Manager. He was a top performer at the company and was promoted in record time. In August 2020, he was recognized as the top Assistant Manager in the MD, VA and DC area.

Ellie is an Associate Recruiter at AtlasAdvancement. She graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.
Ellie started her career in tech sales where she was promoted to a senior role after 6 months for reaching her sales goals every quarter. She loves connecting with new people and ultimately decided that she wanted to use the skills she learned in her previous role to help others find and excel in their next career move.
Justin is a Recruiting Analyst at AtlasAdvancement. He graduated from Georgia State University in 2020 with a BS in Psychology with a minor in Spanish.
Before joining Atlas, Justin sold software solutions to government contractors. Justin enjoys working in the Govcon space and is excited to be a part of the government contracting team at Atlas and continue to connect with professionals in the area.
